I started playing around with this idea of connecting together pieces of tin with thin tabs. These first few are of oddly shaped boxes that remind me of buildings.

I made a series of brooches, and then realized these were structural enough to use as earrings. This is the second in the earring series and feature gorgeous shades of rusticated goldenrod, brick and chocolate.

Each piece is hand cut, filed, finished smooth and then assembled. They are finished with a minimalist hand made surgical stainless steel ear wires. The finished earrings are approximately 1.25” (30mm) wide and hang about 3” (72mm).

I’m using up tiny scraps of tin so each pin is completely unique. If you see one you like, snag them now. 

All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card and sustainably wrapped ready for gift-giving.
